A Church Adventure: A Mini Break
Today we are taking a break from our adventure. We been helping family move out of their home for the past two weekends. We are exhausted both mentally and physically!! I have said this before and will go ahead and repeat it. I absolutely enjoy helping family, I especially enjoy helping them move. I know several of you are thinking why??? It is quite simple, it reminds me to ALYM. I had a conversation with one of my cousins back a year or so ago. We were talking about how healthy it is for a family/household to purge regularly, or Act Like You’re Moving every 5 years at a minimum. I wish I could be more disciplined to do it more regularly, but I am not and I tend to be a pack rat. Today I will be figuring out which closet I will tackle first and and how many parts/sessions I need to break our basement into and schedule them both for this week with Google Calendar and make them recurring events every three months. It sounds like a good plan, right? It's amazing how much stuff you can accumulate when you have the space to accumulate said, stuff. So let's all ALYM and purge/donate/sell some stuff!!
Since we won't be attending church today we will be using Bible.com to do some family devotion time. I really like to use this online resource for devotion.
So to recap on this fine Sunday morning:
1. Let's all go and ALYM, purge, sell, trade, and donate, some of your stuff. You will feel better, and if you have to get up and move in a hurry, it will be easier. Less is more…
2. If you have not used Bible.com yet, go and look at it. They have an Android app, and an Apple app, and of course an online site. It is worth the look!
3. If you’re not using Google Calendar, give it a try. It makes me smiley regularly.
Have a wonderful end of the weekend and a great upcoming week, blessings to all!! Tune in next week for an update…
