A Church Adventure: Week 32

Week 32 provided a look in to an urban non denominational worship style.
We ventured down to a Allegheny river side community worship center. It took place in what appeared to be an old Catholic Church. They also owned another old church just one block north of where worship was held. It appeared that they use the satellite property for the youth programs that they offere. The music was all contemporary and was very hard to hear. I have a feeling they are still adjusting for the acoustics of such a large venue. It was a little overwhelming with all of the hands in the air and the murmuring in the background. I still think the someone was behind me mumbling:

"holynabiscoshreddedwheat,holynabiscoshreddedwheat,holynabiscoshreddedwheat,holynabiscoshreddedwheat,holynabiscoshreddedwheat,holynabiscoshreddedwheat"

I am in no way making fun of them, to each their own. This is the kind of thing that distracts me. I need all the help I can get to remain focused during my time of worship.

Update: On our Pastor nominating progress, our Presbytery concurred with our action with a unanimous vote. He will start on December 1st, this is an exciting time for our Church!

I added a page tab at the top of my blog  for a Church Adventure for a quick click if you prefer to go straight to the adventure.
