Life of Georgie: A Trip to the Dog Park
After I did some house cleaning yesterday morning, I took Georgie to North Park’s dog park. He listen’s pretty well to my commands around the house and around the yard, but the second I take his leash off, it’s like I don’t exist. We will be working on obedience and listening skills this fall/winter. He seems to love playing with other dog’s at the park, and the weather was perfect for a walk. I was able to capture these photos with my phone.
Here are the individual pictures:

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed end of week!

No Apology Necessary
I saw Arron Asham apologize yesterday for his antics after this fight. I don't think the apology was necessary,. Fighting is apart of hockey and it is necessary to flex the muscles every once in a while, you know send a message to teams that think they can take cheap shots on our players. Job well done Arron! Knock Out!!

A Church Adventure: Week 32
Week 32 provided a look in to an urban non denominational worship style.
We ventured down to a Allegheny river side community worship center. It took place in what appeared to be an old Catholic Church. They also owned another old church just one block north of where worship was held. It appeared that they use the satellite property for the youth programs that they offere. The music was all contemporary and was very hard to hear. I have a feeling they are still adjusting for the acoustics of such a large venue. It was a little overwhelming with all of the hands in the air and the murmuring in the background. I still think the someone was behind me mumbling:
"holynabiscoshreddedwheat,holynabiscoshreddedwheat,holynabiscoshreddedwheat,holynabiscoshreddedwheat,holynabiscoshreddedwheat,holynabiscoshreddedwheat"
I am in no way making fun of them, to each their own. This is the kind of thing that distracts me. I need all the help I can get to remain focused during my time of worship.
Update: On our Pastor nominating progress, our Presbytery concurred with our action with a unanimous vote. He will start on December 1st, this is an exciting time for our Church!
I added a page tab at the top of my blog for a Church Adventure for a quick click if you prefer to go straight to the adventure.

Okay, it was staged!!

A shot from the past...during renovations of our attic. I still look back at my video and photos and can't believe what this space was like before. It is no doubt the Family room, it is where we are most of the time.
A Church Adventure: Week 31
For this week in our adventure we were home at VPC to meet and listen to our Pastor Nominating Committee’s choice for our next pastor. It was good to see everyone there and it was a very exciting time. The vote passed and now we wait on our Presbytery to accept the outcome. His message was great and his family was awesome as well. We can’t wait to see what happens. God is Good!
Thanks for visiting my blog while we are on our adventure that looks like it may be winding down in the next few months.
