RTH – Master Bath Part 1 “Demolition” #renovatethis

Demolition will officially start this morning, to begin the master bathroom renovation/installation. We will be gutting a small room(what we used to use as a computer room) we will cut a hole for a door to our master bedroom and install all of the modern amenities into the room. It is by far, our most complicated renovation to date. Even with the complications we are excited to get it started. Our goal is to have it completed by the end of August 2013. Here is the room in it’s current configuration, we have used it as a storage closet for the past few years. Please don’t mind the mess, it is only going to get worse before it will get better.

I can’t wait to see what is behind that paneling, I hope it is just one layer of drywall, but I expect it will be lath and plaster, which means a big mess while we are bring them down. And I can’t wait to remove the drop ceiling, and the fluorescent lights that hardly work…

Relocating the stuff will be first on the agenda and then demo…Brenda loves to demolish stuff!!
