I post this because I won in bowling on the Wii against Bridget. She beats me all of the time, but today I won with 8 strikes. Don't judge me...I know I'm lame.
Romy loves to sleep on pillows. It does not matter whether or not the pillow is hers. If she finds a vacant pillow it will temporarily be hers until someone reclaims it.
This Get Well Soon card came in the mail today. If your not on twitter this might not mean much. Tweet....
If you have three bucks to spare, go and buy this EP by Carlos Whittaker. Here are three links to go a buy these three songs. Below that are some videos. The first one is of the story behind the EP and the second is a video that is inspiring. Carlos recently came to the Pittsburgh area to lead worship over at North Bridge Community Church and he was awesome. If you have not yet, go check out his blog at http://www.ragamuffinsoul.com also.
This picture I captured with my phone this morning while I took some garbage out. Beautiful sunrise.
Is it really Monday already. We had a decent weekend that started out with some Roller Skating on Friday night, Saturday morning I cleaned the house a little, and did some laundry. The family accompanied me on my two mile walk just before lunch and then we stopped by my father-in-laws to set up his new Dell laptop, after which we traveled over to Kohl’s so Brenda could get some slacks for work. Sunday morning, after a quick tech support stop at the father-in-laws, we went to Church and hung around a bit afterwards, because the kids had practice for their upcoming Youth Sunday. It is a worship service led entirely by the youth of our Church. My Brother-in-law came over after church to help us in the attic. We got quite a bit accomplished up there but still have some things to wrap up. I plan on doing a video this week of the progress we have made. The girls are off of school to celebrate MLK. My Mother-in-law picked them up yesterday afternoon for a sleepover, needless to say the house has been quiet last night and this morning. This morning Brenda is working hard at playing Super Mario Bros. and keeps yelling at the Wii. I guess she is stuck in a particular level. I have yet to play the game, because I fear I will not be able to put the thing down. A little later we have to meet my Mother-in-law to acquire the kiddos then pick up some yarn, for Bethany. She is going over to a friends house to learn how to knit a scarf. She is really excited. I believe that Bridget has a play date while Bethany is knitting. I’m not sure what Brenda and I will be doing while the girls are occupied this afternoon. It is nice to have a day with everyone off, other then the fact that the laundry is not getting done. There is always tomorrow, right? God Blessings on everyone’s week!!
I don’t know if this is the same bird that I saw a few days ago.
If it is, it appears I may have a stalker with wings….he followed me from one neighborhood to ours. I am sure it was only coincidence. Pretty cool anyways, I never realized woodpeckers were so large. Does anyone know what kind this actually is? My Dad had mentioned a certain type, but I forget what he said.
A self portrait of me listening to Andy Stanley with my new hat that has built in headphones that Bethany bought me for Christmas. I’m trying to walk every day for 30 minutes, in attempt to get rid of this spare tire that has developed at my mid section. It sucks to have to take a breath while attempting to tie my shoes. I enjoyed my walk once the sun came out, those rays on my skin felt good.
I got to see this woodpecker on my walk this afternoon. He actually let me get almost five feet away from him then scooted to the top of the tree.
here is Romy running through snow that is almost up to her neck. Check out those ears, they looked pinned together.
I love it when it snows, because I get to use this:
and this:
The tractor is a ton of fun, no matter how old I get. I only have to shovle the sidewalk, but I plow our drive and or parking area and both of our closest neighbors parking area. That’s all for now. I can’t wait for some more snow……
I look at www.failblog.org on a daily basis, though some of it is a bit inappropriate for younger eyes, at least once a week there is a funny one that I will share here on my blog. But I have to give complete credit to www.failblog.org for finding all of these great fails.
I think I took this about a week ago when we had a real wet snow. This is the maple tree that turns a pretty red in the fall.
I took this picture this morning as I used our burn barrel. It was cool how the flames highlighted the snow falling.

Bridget shoveling the sidewalk and deck of the garage this morning. Bethany did it Thursday morning. Both of them did it with out anyone asking them to. Loving my girls...
