The view from the attic.

On this snowy Thursday I took a couple of shots from the front of our house in the attic. I used Windows 7 to create the panoramic shot and it was very easy to use. Enjoy!

In my inbox.

I received this in my inbox yesterday from my youngest.

HI I love you do you love me I bet you do, do you I hope you do and by the way I love to sing do you like to sing I bet you do cus I do lu lu lu lu thats me singing here it gos again lu lu lu lu by I love you.Bridget's Digital Drawing

I thought it was so cute, as you can tell we tend to have a bit of an identity crisis. But that is okay, I love getting messages like this. Tonight my oldest surprised me with “Dad, could we please turn the tv off for dinner?” I had it on while I was cooking so I did not miss the weather, we usually have it off to eat, so we can talk about how each others day went. I love to do Hi’s and Lo’s with the girls, even when I forget on hectic nights the girls still remember to do them. I think communication is so important in these early years. With time it will be critical that they feel comfortable coming to us with anything, right? Just a glimpse in my evening. Thanks for visiting and Go Pens and Steelers!

Wordless Wednesday – Freaking Funny!

Snow, ice and now more snow.

It is a beautiful site outside, all the snow is sticking quite well to the freezing rain we received this morning. Thought I would share our view from our back porch.

Are Wii Happy Now

I would like to introduce you to Vince Marotte, I read his blog everyday. You can follow him on twitter here. He is a guest poster on my blog because his is down. Enough with the details....here it is:

Did you get what you wanted for Christmas?
Remember when you were a kid and you would do anything for that one thing that would make your life complete. I think I still do this to be honest...ok; I still do this.
So you now have a Wii. Awesome. It's everything you dreamed and more. Let's be candid for a second; the Wii has changed gaming for ever!
Here's the downer. There is an entire universe of things that you didn't know you were missing until you got that little white box.
Nun chucks, more controllers, God only knows how many games you need now. How many times can you play Tiger Woods golf?
We do this to ourselves all the time. My wife will buy a new shirt and the next thing you know she is back at the store looking for shoes or something to go with it.
When will I ever be happy? There is always one more thing I want. There is always one more thing I need to accomplish.
Then, maybe I will be complete....right?
I think a really wise man spoke about this one time.
Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant.
If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.

PPT – Youth Sunday Church Service

I have not contributed to Brody Harper’s Positive Post Tuesday in a while. So here it goes:
What a wonderful worship service the youth at Valencia Presbyterian Church did this past Sunday. Being Brenda and I sing in the Praise Team every Sunday unless we are sick, camping, or for Brenda, out of town working, it was refreshing being on the opposite side of the pulpit to worship. Pastor Jean did a great job organizing and leading the group and our music director played guitar. Two of our high school Seniors did a magnificent job with there sermons. Oh how very blessed our church is to have these talented and dedicated young people. Here is picture of them practicing before the worship service started:
