A Church Adventure: Week 11

This week the girls had another sleepover birthday party, so Brenda and I visited a local Presbyterian church, we decided to attend another early service and enjoyed it. We actually recognized some familiar faces in the congregation. The message really did not captivate either of us, but you will have this at times. I know my mind was wandering, I had what felt like the beginning of migraine going on, that made it hard to focus. The music was more contemporary, which is cool, but Brenda and I both agreed that we really do like a blended service, one that has a little bit of the old music with the new music as well, a balance that is hard to achieve. I feel that VPC used to balance it’s blended service well, but a lot has changed in the last few years. We pray that our new pastor, once the search committee finds him/her, will be able to achieve that balance that we miss. The migraine I thought I was getting never did fully develop, PTL.
